The Accomplishments of Jesus
There were seven great things he did; he turned water into
wine, he healed an official's son, he healed at the pool of Bethesda, he fed
the five thousand, he walked on water, he healed the man born blind and he
raised Lazarus from the dead.
He was at a dinner party when they ran out of wine so Jesus asked for some jugs of water and he turned the water into wine. The host declared that this wine was better than the original wine.
An official's son was very ill so the official went to Jesus for help, hearing of him turning the water into wine. Jesus told him that his son was well because of the strong faith of the official. Sure enough when the official arrived home, his son was energetic and well.
It is said that periodically an angel stirs the pool of Bethesda and whoever gets in first is healed of all their inflictions. There was a crippled man who had been trying and failing for thirty eight years and never made it in in time. When Jesus came the man asked to be healed and Jesus healed him.
There were five thousand people coming to listen to Jesus preach that day. When they stopped for lunch Jesus asked what food they had and he was brought two small fish and five loaves of bread. He blessed the food and passed it around; when everybody had their fill the disciples gathered the leftovers and they filled twelve baskets!
The disciples were rowing across the Galilean sea a storm brewed and raged fiercely. They saw Jesus walk by on the water. Jesus called to Peter and Peter stepped out onto the water to begin walking towards Jesus. At first Peter focused only on Jesus but he soon became distracted by the storm, and he began to sink. He cried out for Jesus who was immediately at his side and Jesus put Peter back onto the boat.
There was a man who had been born blind. When Jesus came to his town he begged for Jesus to heal him. Jesus spat on his eyes and into his ears so he could see and hear the works and words of God. The man was cured and he rejoiced in his newfound sight.
Lazarus had been a strong believer when he was living. He died and his household wept and prayed for their beloved Lazarus. Jesus saw them mourning and asked why. They told him everything about Lazarus. He asked where Lazarus's tomb was and they showed him the way. Jesus went into Lazarus's tomb and told Lazarus to get up and he did. Jesus led him out of the tomb where his household waited and rejoiced on regaining Lazarus. They feasted for many days and praised the Lord before and after every meal. spread the good news throughout the city.
